  • What is a Kroger Family of Stores Gift Card?
  The Kroger Family of Stores Gift Card is a pre-paid debit card similar to a gift certificate that can be used to buy merchandise at any Kroger family store.
 
  • What stores are part of the Kroger Family of Stores?

  • How do I use the Gift Card?
  The Gift Card is simple to use and can be redeemed at any of the Kroger Family of Stores. Present your Card for payment at register, and the amount of your purchase is deducted from the Card. The remaining card balance will appear on your sales receipt.
 
  • Can anyone use my Gift Card?
  Yes, treat the Card like cash. Your name does not appear on the Card. You may use it yourself or give it to anyone you choose.
 
  • How do I purchase a card denomination not listed on the order form?
  Customize your Gift Card value by combining any number of Card denominations in your order.
 
  • What is your Order Cancellation and Return Policy for Gift Cards?
  Once your order is shipped, it cannot be cancelled. Prior to shipment, you can call (1-800-883-7135, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Eastern | 5 a.m. - 5 p.m. Pacific, M-F) to adjust or cancel your order. Kroger Family of Stores Gift Cards cannot be returned or redeemed for cash, except as required by law.
 
  • What products can I purchase with my Gift Card?
  Use your Gift Card to purchase any merchandise in-store, as allowed by law, with the exceptions of Fuel and Courtesy Desk Services. Services include money orders, lottery tickets, stamps, hunting/fishing licenses and Western Union. Fuel Centers will accept Gift Cards as tender soon.
 
  • Can Gift Cards be used for online purchases?
  Not at this time.
 
  • How do I check the remaining balance on my Gift Card?
  To obtain remaining card balance, exit FAQs and click on the "Check Balance" tab at the top of any Gift Card page, or go to www.gcbalance.com, or check your sales receipt, or call 1-866-822-6252.
 
  • Can I add more value to my Gift Card?
  You can present your Card at checkout to any Kroger Family of Stores cashier to add additional value.  You cannot add value online however.
 
  • What happens when all the card value is used? Should I throw the card away?
  You can reload a zero balance Card to add value within 90 days. A zero balance Card is inactive after 90 days, cannot be reloaded, and should be discarded. Present your Card at checkout to any Kroger Family of Stores cashier to add additional value to an active card. The Card can be used for merchandise returns. When you return merchandise over $10 without a receipt to a Kroger family store, we'll add the value of your returned merchandise to your Card.
 
  • Does the Kroger Family of Stores Gift Card ever expire?
  No, so long as value remains on the Card; however, if a Card has a zero balance for longer than 90 days, the Card will become inactive and value can no longer be loaded onto the Card.
 
  • When I have questions about my Gift Card purchase, how can I contact a Customer Service Representative?

  • I own a business and would like to buy Gift Cards for my customers and employees. Do you sell Gift Cards to businesses?
  Yes we do, but not online. You can order B2B Gift Cards by clicking b2bgiftcards@kroger.com, or by calling 1-800-883-7135.
 
  • Why do I get an error message about Security or Encryption?
  The Kroger Family of Stores Gift Card web site is a secure site, protected by 128 bit SSL Encryption. Be sure your browser supports it. For Internet Explorer Version 5.0 or later: Click on the Tools Menu, then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0. For Netscape Version 4.7 or later: Click on either the Security icon at the top of the page or click on the lock at the lower left of the page. This will bring up a Security Information page which will allow you to verify and set your browser capabilities. Click on Navigator, then click on the buttons to configure the security level. Be sure 128-bit encryption is indicated.
